Dedicated to the spirit of jazz that never dies. A smooth jazz ballad that displays the ensemble's control on long sustained passages. Nice harmonic sequence with changes similar to 'Giant Steps' and a bridge similar to 'Naima.' Brief shout chorus has a double time feel. Very reasonable in range for most ensembles. Needs careful attention to balance and blend to really be effective. Solos: Piano, Trumpet 4.
