The Polonaise-fantasy, Op. 61 is the fourth volume in the series Works by Chopin. Facsimile Edition, and the first to be published in 2007. Given the series no. A/XI 61a, it presents the autograph Stichvorlage prepared by Chopin as the base text for the German first edition published by Breitkopf & Hartel. This splendid manuscript is currently held at the Biblioteka Narodowa in Warsaw, under the shelf-mark Mus. 233 Cim. The facsimile edition of the autograph comes with a scholarly commentary by Professor Jim Samson.
