Shifting meters, accents, and touch are found throughout this exciting ''vivace'' contemporary duet. The piece is without key signature but the melody has many accidentals and a modal quality. The secondo is devoted entirely to the ''ostinato'' feature, but has interesting shifts in tonality and accenting.
