The Touche 'noir' is a cycle of four piano pieces composed in 2012 and inspired by lithographic prints (also called 'noir' in French) of the artist Odilon Redon (1840 - 1916).
The music of these pages, from various aesthetics, is an evocative expression of the artist's universe and the very special atmosphere of her works. The pianistic writing leads at the same time to a work upon sound through resonance, the various use of the pedals and to some idea of the line and thickness.
The title of each piece is from Redon's lithographs.
The pieces may be performed in any order ad libitum.
