The composer describes Crimson Dream as:'a musical depiction of a romantic dream, one in which events and feelings are constantly and suddenly changing. 'The emotional contrasts of good-evil, sad-happy, and ugly-beautiful are evoked by a broad range of musical styles which are juxtaposed and overlapped, resulting in a musical collage.
