A favorite solo of saxophonists everywhere, this arrangement allows for a performance with string ensemble/orchestra. This Solo pour hautbois is Paladilhe's best-known work and was originally composed as a composition piece for the Paris Conservatory. Here, the accompaniment has been transposed, such that the soloist plays off the standard 'Oboe' part, and the rest of the ensemble can use the parts provided.
