This is a wonderful new setting of a little known Debussy piano piece in the style of one of his more famous piece, Golliwog's Cakewalk. It is clear that Debussy was influenced by the Ragtime music that was popular during his lifetime. James Meredith has worked some arranging magic to make this a stunning piece for strings. It retains all of the character and charm of Debussy's music but keeps it within the grasp of advancing string players, making it a welcome addition to the repertoire.
