A lively, highly energetic samba featuring flute, drums, and a rhythmically spoken vocal. It begins with an intense band unison followed by a piano figure that sets up the melody,played first by the piano, and then doubled by the flute.There are plenty of dynamic variations, especially on the band unisons, making for some 'rollercoaster-like rides'. The drums alternate with the vocal in a series of pointillistic outbursts designed to keep the listeners' ears 'on their toes'. The purpose of the vocal is to focus our attention 'on being here'!
