Muscular, straight ahead, driving up-tempo chart. This one roars from the first bar. Solos: Tsx, Pno, Trbn (in plunger mute). Band shouts! Just when chart seems to end, there is a short, soulful trumpet solo played over lush-voiced sustained chords and then the chart explodes fro the quick ending! A dramatic climax to one of the best suites ever from McIntosh. Medium-difficult. LAST SUITE MESA, THE. Ladd composed this suite of four separate charts to honor the memory of his friend, Grant Wolf, a well-respected Arizona jazz educator. Each movement is a complete piece of music and may be programmed without the others, Movements are priced separately, but a special discount price for all 4 movements: 200.00 (a saving of 10%) is available.
