Commissioned by the Tennessee All-State Jazz Band, this exciting and well-crafted composition features a light and breezy samba style and some marvelous ensemble writing. A duet of alto and trumpet are featured on the head as well as later in the chart for solos. Along the way are creatively designed background figures, and a 'shout' section that features the drums at first followed by a solid tutti ensemble statement.
