Cookin' With Shorty & Coop

This West Coast Jazz tribute to trumpeter Shorty Rogers and tenor saxophonist Bob Cooper offers a contrapuntal opening theme written over Parker blues changes and features solo sections for both of these instruments. A bopish unison brass and bass line sans drums & piano features saxophone commentary, while a powerful ensemble section highlights your drummer filling and soloing around percussive ensemble punches. Lead trumpet to a written high E. 5/4/4/4 no doubles.
