Der populäre exzentrische englische Sänger, Pianist und Komponist Elton John (1947) wurde berühmt mit Songs wie 'Crocodile Rock' und 'Candle in the Wind'. Die Walt Disney Studios hatten eine geniale Idee ihm den Soundtrack für den neuen Zeichentrickfilm 'The Lion King' (Juni 1994) komponieren zu lassen. Dieser Zeichenfilm war schnell erfolgreicher als 'Aladdin' und sogar als 'Beauty and the Beast'. Der Nachspann meldet über sechshundert Mitarbeiter! Die Abenteuer des Königs Mustapha und des Kronprinzen Simba werden mit Elton Johns Songs 'Circle of Life', 'I just can't wait to be King' und 'Can you feel the Love' ganz schön illustriert. Hans van der Heide schrieb dieses schöne und wohlklingende Arrangement.
