In addition to the Crysanthemi (ADV07417), G. Puccini also wrote the Tre Minuetti on hand for the same instrumentation during his first creative period (around 1890). In these bright and cheerful pieces he musically refers to baroque (dance) music. At the beginning of the 20th century, these compositions were widely performed; this version for saxophone quartet virtually invites their rediscovery.
