Meanders is based on a strange cadential movement, with major-minor ambiguity, which is transposed three times to different sequences. In each of them, the phrasing finds its way by sinuating between the chords, at first as a contemplative improvisation following the broad curves of harmony. Then the current accelerates, the harmonic rhythm leads the phrasing, always fluid, towards a faster movement. The melodic line then operates a swift path leading us to the last sequence where melody, harmony and rhythm form a single flow.
