Des Larmes Encadrées, composed by Garth Baxter, was written for Romain Gravier, a saxophonist in the Paris-based group La Scaña del Domingo. The title translated to English means 'Framed Tears,' and thus both of the main themes are a bit reflective. Both instruments are equal partners in this composition, and the piano is not simply an accompaniment to the saxophone.
