Johann Ernst Galliard (1687-1749), like Handel, came under the incluence of the Italian style. Arranger Harry Gee has taken two movements from Galliard's SIX SONATAS FOR BASSOON OR VIOLONCELLO which seem to be particularly interested for the alto clarinet or the Eb contrabass clarinet. The HORNPIPE is of medium difficulty and the ALLEGRO is more challenging.
