“The Magical Witch" is a tango covered with Spider web.
After an opening like a horror-movie (first in percussion and then winds), a traditional tango starts. The tango is interrupted by the main theme from “Jaws” and then a short sequence from the shower-scene from “Psycho”.
The tango then moves on, only interrupted by short, scary features. The dynamics and articulation are very important to underpin the dramatic character of the composition.
This tango can be a part of many kinds of concerts, but will be particulary suitable for a Halloween concert. This is a composition intended for beginners and young bands.
