In Germany, beans are usually associated with the attributes of being sluggish or lethargic. On the contrary, the English expression 'to be full of beans' characterises a lively and exhilarated person. Where this peculiar phrase comes from is uncertain. However, a connection to the coffee bean and the according drink is suspected. Now imagine a group of musicians coming together again after a long time. They want to play together. They are all full of energy, enthusiasm and passion, just 'Full of Beans'. Should one or more of them get carried away, this is merely an expression of exuberant enthusiasm ...
