The Mystery of Love has been recorded by the Choir of Clare College Cambridge, directed by Timothy Brown, with the work's librettist Robert Tear as tenor soloist (EtCetera, KTC 1248: A Finer Truth).
It was first performed in its present form by Robert Tear, Joseph Cullen (organ) and the St Endellion Festival Chorus, conducted by James Burton, at the St. Endellion Festival on 3 August 2001.
