John Joubert 's Northumbrian Triptych - Three Settings By Bede is a work composed for Tenor Solo, SATB Divisi Chorus and Organ. The text comes from The Venerable Bede's 'A History of The English Church and People', commissioned for the Merton Choirbook to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the founding of Merton College, Oxford in 1264. Most of the lyrics are in English, but one of the solos is in Latin.
