A setting of Christina Rossetti's words for SATB with orchestra or piano accompaniment.
This is an arrangement taken from the "Winter" section of Paul's Four New Seasons for choir. It differs from the Four New Seasons version which means that this separate copy is not compatible with the full vocal score of Seasons.
The accompaniment can be provided by piano or either chamber orchestra or symphony orchestra.
CHAMBER ORCHESTRA orchestration:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet in Bb, Bassoon, Horn in F, Trumpet in C, Percussion (1 player: Triangle, Glockenspiel), Harp & Strings
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA orchestration:
2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets in Bb, 2 Bassoons, 2 Horns in F, 2 Trumpets in C, 3 Trombones, Percussion (2 players: Triangle, Mark Tree, Glockenspiel, Cymbal Roll), Timpani, Harp & Strings.
