This original composition by Mark Hayes offers a non-traditional approach to Lenten or Easter services. The easy, syncopated rhythms are not too difficult for a good intermediate pianist, and the repetition in the vocal partsmakes this piece accessible to all choirs, youth or adult. Beginning with Gethsemane and building to Resurrection Day, Didn't I See My Lord? moves gradually higher in both melody and mood, finally rejoicing in the glory of the Lord as it is reflected in the faces of those who believe.
