The Weathers is a popular poem written by Thomas Hardy, and first published in 1922. It has since been set to music by many different composers. This version by Eric Thiman is scored for SSAFemale Choir, with a Piano reduction for rehearsal purposes.
Eric Thiman (1900-1975) was a British composer and organist. He taught at the Royal Academy of Music and at the University of London, and was organist atthe City Temple in London for many years. He wrote over a thousand works, of which several hundred were published during his lifetime, mostly anthems, chorales and chamber works.
