William Byrd offers a beautiful setting for the motet, 'O Gloriosa Domina. ' James Marvin has transposed the original up a 4th, gaining great clarity for the treble voice. A highly expressive setting of a colorful andpoignant text extolling the virtues of the Virgin Mary, the motet is divided into four brief sections, each devoted to a verse of the Lauds Hymn.
