From the beginning, this collection was intended to be an organic component to the teaching of solfeggio as well as a supplement. The original texts and their relevant translations have been omitted with the intention of emphasizing the pedagogical aims achieved through solmization. Fortunately, solfeggio has become so widespread and, in particular, singing canons has gained such popularity with the world of music pedagogy.
