This one has important parts for the rhythm section. Unison octaves for the bass and piano have important lines in the intro and head. The melodic line in the horns is angular yet flowing. Solo section has interesting changes and an optional horn background is provided. Instrumentation: trumpet, alto (or tenor), tenor (or trombone), piano, bass drums. Optional 4th horn part (trombone or tenor), optional guitar. Recorded on Kim Richmond/Clay Jenkins Ensemble CD 'CrossWeave' on origin 82431.
