Only a few data of the composer's biography have survived. It is a fact that he lived around the turn of the 17th to the 18th century and worked together with the famous violin virtuosi Giuseppe Valentini and Carlo Francesco Cesarini. This piece, consisting of three movements, reflects the style of the time, i.e. entertainment. The original version is kept in the library of the Conservatory 'Giuseppe Verdi' in Milan. For this edition, the existing part has been supplemented by the realisation of a figured bass as well as by suggestions as to its dynamics.
