This volume is a collection of exercises; lessons and etudes extracted from the second edition of Spanish classical guitarist and composer Dionisio Aguado's Escuela of 1826. Stripping all text from this guitar method creates a progressively graduated system of teaching which is similar in its construction to Bartók's Mikrokosmos; in that it provides teachers with good teaching material; rather than instilling a method of a teaching. As a result; it is useful in any program of guitar education; regardless of the teacher's approach to pedagogy or his/her attachment to any particular philosophy or method book.
