Einfach, elegant und wunderschön - diese Einrichtug des traditionellen Afro-Amerikanischen Chorals ist eine willkommene Ergänzung des Repertoires für Anfängerorchester. Lyrische und fliessende Linien sorgen für eine gute Gelegenheit, um die gute Phrasierung zu lernen. Tuttistellen verbinden sich mit Holz- und Blechbläserchören und schaffen so eine einzigartige Lehrmöglichkeit auch für Orchester, die noch ganz am Anfang stehen. Obwohl die Originalmelodie und dieses Arrangement mit nur sechs Tönen auskommt, ist dieses Arrangement für Orchester auf mehreren Leistungsstufen geeignet. Sehr zu empfehlen!
Simple, elegant and beautiful, this setting of the traditional African-American hymn is a welcome addition to the beginning band repertoire. Lyrical, flowing lines provide a welcome opportunity to teach phrasing. Full band statements combined with both woodwind and brass choir features create a unique teaching opportunity for the very beginning band. Although the original melody and this arrangement use only six notes in their construction, this setting is suitable for performance by bands at multiple levels. Highly recommended!
