Mendelssohn wrote three sets of variations in 1841, but this is regarded as the finest of the set and was the only one of the three works to be published in his lifetime.
This is one of Mozart's longest and demanding Piano Sonatas which was composed foremostly as a vehicle for the composer's performance, rather than as a didactic work.
