The Transit of Venus is a work inspired by the soundtracks of science fiction movies related to space, the composition of which was initiated during the space phenomenon occurred in 2004 which the scientific community called 'Transit of Venus.'Without seeking to be a work descriptive of a symphonic poem, this work divides into three separate sections where the composer seeks to describe environments and textures that somehow brings us to the knowledge, the nobility and grandeur inherent in the space adventure. In the first movement, intense rhythms and vigorous sought to celebrate the ingenuity, courage and acumen needed to conquer space. The initial motive of the first theme - initially presented by the horns and saxophones - serves as a leitmotif throughout this section, appearing now in the major mode now in the minor mode, either in its original form now with the intervals inverted. The notes used in this theme are subsequently used for the construction of the main theme of Section B. This second theme, first presented by the trombone, the trumpet then, seeks to reflect the nobility of character usually associated with men and women who, over the past generations have contributed to gradually go unraveling the secrets of space. The last section, which is introduced by the appearance of even during the initial ostinato section B, mixed uses and the various issues that have been appearing throughout the work, thus creating an atmosphere of grandeur associated with the space.
